The Golden age of baseball came to a close in the 1970′s. They started producing baseball cards in mass in the 1980′s and 1990′s. That’s why this week when over 3,000 Tops Baseball Cards rolled into Steve’s Sports Cards it became a big grab. If you are trying to get the average player’s card to finish off a set, trying to start a set or want the most desirable cards, he’s got them!
He’s also got all those hall of fame players you want!
Milwaukee Brave Hank.
Charlie Hustle Rookie card.
Looks like he stepped out of Central Casting.
Steve thinks this is how a card is supposed to look, we agree.
The game changer.
There is nothing like re-visiting our childhood interests and expanding them into items such as prewar baseball cards like some of the goudey baseball cards or playball, diamond stars or leaf baseball cards. That’s why Steve’s Sports Cards is the premiere sports card store in Bowling Green and oldest in Kentucky!
They also are great for collectors of political memorabilia. Steve’s Sports Cards is a member of APIC and a dealer of great past political items. What is APIC? The APIC, started in 1945, has over 2000 members and is one of the oldest hobby organizations in the country next to coin and stamp collector organizations. Their members are quite diverse, young and old, and come from all walks of life. They have members with interests in history, politics, political parties, social movements, the environment, and many other areas.
Sample of the Classic Campaign buttons (some are over 100 years old and he does have stuff from our first President George Washington):
Steve’s Sports Cards is located on 31w and is hidden a bit from the eye. If you look hard enough you will see this gem sitting off the road and just inviting you in. Steve’s Sports Cards is a great place because it has so much to offer the sports collector but, the fact they carry political collectibles is another feather in their cap. The longest running Sports card shop in the state, it’s a must see in Bowling Green.
