What are the races for the 2019 Kentucky primaries?
- Governor and Lieutenant Governor
- Secretary of State
- Auditor of Public Accounts
- State Treasurer
- Attorney General
- Commissioner of Agriculture
Does Kentucky have an open or closed primary?
Unfortunate for us registered Independents Kentucky has a closed primary. That means non-partisan registered voters may only vote for non-partisan races or issues in the primary election. There will not be any non-partisan races this year in Warren County.
So basically, only registered Republicans can vote in the Republican primary, and only registered Democrats can vote in the Democratic primary. Editors note: that’s right taxpayers are paying for party elections.
