Bowling Green’s Great Escape Records and Comics are back again with the Grateful Gathering. The event is to benefit the Son Rhea Foundation that was was founded in 2000 to offset music program cuts by providing musical equipment and cash to South Central Kentucky Schools (all counties). Approx $200,000 has been donated in the organization’s 11-year existence all from the Grateful Gathering! So, we start out with a great cause, then you add a great time that all had last year, it’s a can’t miss event.
It’s all about the music – music in our schools, music students, as well as the music at the festival.
This festival is for everyone: Dead-Heads, hippies, bikers, musicians, artists, So Central KY students and their parents, 60s/70s nostalgia buffs, music lovers, and anyone who enjoys a good time.
Amenities will include food and beverage by Wha Bahs, vendors featuring tie-dyes, bandanas, Birkenstocks, leather goods, hand-crafted jewelry, flowers, merchandise from the performing bands, and hopefully a few more. A good time will be had by all!
