2012 Fountain Square 2nd Saturday Street Fair is kicking off Saturday, April 14th, and will run every second Saturday of the month through September from 10AM to 5PM. A special thanks to Morris Jewelers, whose April sponsorship has helped their fair become bigger and better!Larger this year: vendor booths of Kentucky craftspeople, jewelry, stained glass, artists and more. Satisfy your hunger with their food vendors.
Entertain the kids with the Fountain Square Choo Choo, inflatables from Party 1 and horse carriage rides from Rockin’ B. Sharpen your skills with The WKU Chess Club, and our own Bowling Green National Marbles Champion, Melissa Page. Dance it up with with the Jas Patrick Band; bands play at noon and 2:30 pm.
NEW! Stop by Sunny Point Gardens produce stand on Main Street. Also, at Spencer’s Coffeehouse consultant Lara Mattingly will read stories from the Usborne collection to preschool and school age children and their families. They will do a craft together too. Come check out Usborne books and place an order if you see something you like!
At 11:00 Bowling Green Pipe and Cigar are giving tax relief with a nice new WheatBeer from Oberon. A nice light beer while sitting and enjoying a spring afternoon on Fountain Square sounds just right, after doing taxes.
Please join us for the 2nd annual “Hats, Horses & The Derby” fundraiser event at Barbara Stewart Interiors. Barbara Stewart Interiors hours this Saturday will be from 10:00AM-4:00PM. 25% of proceeds go to Rainhill Equine Facility (local horse rescue) and 100% of “Van Gogh’s” art goes to Rainhill! Fun, fashion and philanthropy; be there!!
Check out Fountain Square sidewalk sales, extended shop hours, specials and more.
