MARDI GRAS is almost here…beads, Hurricanes, N’Awlins dinner menu and more. Starting this Friday the 17th, continuing on Saturday the 18th and Fat Tuesday the 21st. The menu is going to transport you right down to the Bayou! You know it’s going to be Bowling Green’s spot for Carnival!
Some of the great menu items for Mardi Gras are Fresh Alligator bites, Turtle Soup and Veal Prudhomme. If you haven’t had Veal Prudhomme it is a returning favorite to 440 Main. It’s two pan fried veal cutlets with pan seared scallops. Atop a bed of luguini noodles finished with a creole cream sauce.
Also, on the menu they will serve Blackened Red Snapper with crawfish Butter, Crab meat dressed flounder. For the filet lovers on Carnival, the feature filet ‘Bayou Filet.’ An 8 ounces filet with cream spinach and fried oysters.
Also a taste of Po’ Boy can be had in each serving of fried oyster loaf and shrimp loaf. For those who are bound to get thirsty Hurricanes, King Cake Martini are both back and on tap they will have New Orleans’ own Abita Amber and Turbo Dog.
