From Home Cafe and Marketplace comes a great collaboration that teams a local butcher with local restaurant! From Josh Poling:
We are proud to announce our partnership with the Fatted Calf Meat Market to bring you Wednesday night burger night. Starting January 18, every Wednesday we will be offering a selection of gourmet burgers cooked to order on a brioche bun with hand cut fries. How could it get any better?
Here’s how it works, every Wednesday the Fatted Calf will provide a custom meat mix just for our use at Home Cafe and Marketplace. The first burger night will feature their bacon burger, USDA chuck and their famous slab bacon ground together to produce a juicy, smoky burger.
Each week the fatted calf is going to provide me a custom burger mix such as 25% brisket, 25% shortrib, 25% chuck, 25% sirloin. Then we will produce four gourmet burgers and feature them one night a week. We’re talking 1/2 lb patties! I know the first meat mixture is a bacon burger where slab bacon is actually ground with the meat. How could that possibly be bad.
The burgers will come on a soft brioche bun and come with hand cut fries. I am really excited about this as is Rian down at the Fatted Calf. Everything will be cooked on the flat top to order. It will be
