Many of you out there grew up with Comic Books (aka Graphic Novels) and tomorrow is your day! Great Escape Record and Comics will have 30% off everything in the store for ONE DAY ONLY! It’s their annual sidewalk sale and free comic book day where you can get up to 75% off CD’s, Toys, Gaming, Comics and VHS.
They will obviously be there for the comic book fans with titles like Green Lantern Flashpoint Special, Amazing Spider-Man, Captain America and Thor, Young Justice and Batman, The Tick, Smurfs, Sonic the Hedgehog, Mickey Mouse, The Simpsons, Darkwing Duck as well as a Free Green Lantern Hero Clix! Plus many more titles will be there to choose from while supplies last.
With comic book titles dominating the movie box office people are hitting the comic book stores but, as a “local first guy” I’ve seen it’s impact with local art. There is an art to local comics. Who knows, maybe Bowling Green will have the next great Comic Book creator?
Free Comic Book Day is a single day – the first Saturday in May each year – when participating comic book shops across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely FREE to anyone who comes into their stores.
