Our thirteenth installment of ‘Bowling Green’s Favorite Things’ takes us to visit Chris Abend co-owner of Bowling Green Pipe and Cigar. When Chris Abend and his business partner Andrew Cole took over the 30+ year old establishment on the square it was, to say the least, on it’s last legs. It looked as if the shop would be vacant.
Then these young business owners decided to think a little outside the box and take this traditional tobacco shop that was more well known for it’s cat and aging Jelly Bellies and make it a lounge. A lounge where guys and girls come each week to smoke the finest cigars and drink the best beer of any establishment in the region. Their attention to detail has made this business once again a jewel in the downtown crown.
