WKU’s 2012 Homecoming concert headlined by country star Dierks Bentley is this Thursday!The concert, part of Bentley’s “Country & Cold Cans: Back to College Tour,” will begin at 7 p.m. Oct. 18 at WKU’s Diddle Arena; doors will open at 6 p.m. Special guests include Jon Pardi, A-Ray and Natalie Stovall.
Tickets will be available at the WKU Ticket Office at Diddle Arena, by phone at 1-800-5BIGRED or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Advance tickets will be $20 for students/staff and $35 for non-students; tickets at the door will be $30 for students/staff and $45 for non-students. The Homecoming concert is presented by WKU’s Campus Activities Board.
Bentley’s “5-1-5-0” recently became his 10th No. 1 single and “Home” was nominated for three 2012 CMA Awards — Single of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year. Bentley also headlined WKU’s Homecoming concert in 2006.
“Red, White, and WKU” is the theme for Homecoming 2012 activities scheduled for Oct. 15-21. The Hilltoppers will face Louisiana-Monroe in the Homecoming football game at 3 p.m. Oct. 20 at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium.
