Tomorrow Night at Bowling Green Pipe and Cigar a you can enjoy the wonderful flavor of Great Lakes Conway Irish Red Ale. The Great Lakes Beerwill be the featured brew Tuesday the 31st from 5:00pm-8:00pm.
Great Lakes Conway Irish Red Ale is named after Patrick Conway, a Cleveland policeman who directed traffic for 25 years near the brewery, and the grandfather of Patrick and Daniel Conway, the owners of the Great Lakes Brewing Company. It’s a malty Irish ale with a notable toasty flavor derived from lightly roasted malt.
Second only to dry stout as Ireland’s other most distinctive brew, red ale. Ingredients:
MALT
Harrington 2-Row Base Malt: Allows color and flavor from other specialty malts to come through; makes for very clean beer
Crystal 77: Contributes to color and adds sweeter aroma and flavor
HOPS
Northern Brewer: Traditional bittering hop for this type of ale; complements assertive flavors of ales.
Hallertau: U.S. version of classic German noble hop; contributes mild bitterness and fine aromas; added for complexity
Fuggle: Traditional English hop for flavor in ales; blended with Hallertau, which features similar characteristics
They’ll be doing 16oz draft pours for $5 and will surely come up with a cigar special as well. Don’t forget Gift Cards are available which is great for the person receiving as well.
