By Bowling Green Run Club:
This annual family event includes a 3K Walk (7:30 am start) and 5K Run (8:00 am start) with Thanksgiving-themed door prizes and awards, and it is the sole fundraiser for the Bowling Green Running Club’s High School Athletics Program.
Any high schools in the following counties are eligible to apply for financial assistance through the Bowling Green Running Club:
Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Logan, Metcalfe, Ohio, Simpson, and Warren.
BGRC hopes to aid programs that don’t have enough funds to adequately outfit their Track / Cross Country clubs with items such as uniforms and equipment needs. The BGRC officers and board members will review all applications and award as many as possible with the available funds generated from the annual Great Turkey 5K.
Due to participant volume and separate start / finish locations, the 5K event is a gun start / chip finish event. It is strongly recommended that 5K participants pick up their bib chip during the early packet pickup to avoid long lines the morning of the event.
Shirts are be included with registration. Shirt sizes will be guaranteed for all orders placed by Nov. 1st.
Registration is $30 until November 1st 2022. Prices Increase to $35 on November 1st
WE HAVE A CAP OF 500 RUNNERS THIS YEAR. WALKERS WILL NOT GET BIBS. ALL 500 BIBS WILL BE ALLOCATED TO RUNNERS ONLY.

Thursday, November 24th
6:30 am – 7:30 am Packet Pickup at Pavilion at Kereiakes Park 1220 Fairview Ave, Bowling Green, KY
7:30 am – 3K Walk Start
8:00 am – 5K Run Start
10:00 am – Awards Ceremony and Door Prizes

* Strollers are not allowed in the 5K run.
* Your bib must be front and center on you for your time to be accurately recorded.
* If you don’t have a BIB on, do not run through the finish line.
