Sure, you could buy the pan dulce from the other stores, but Mercadito Hispano is the only Latin bakery that can promise that the baked goods are no more than a few hours old. They rotate the stock daily. Other places import their pastries from Nashville once a week. You don’t want that. You don’t deserve that. You deserve the hot conchas that slide out of Mercadito’s ovens around noon every day.
