Several studies have shown that when you buy from an independent, locally owned business, rather than a nationally owned businesses, significantly more of your money is used to make purchases from other local businesses, service providers and farms — continuing to strengthen the economic base of the community. That’s why we have created BuyLocalBG.com. Our goal is to offer a comprehensive online and bi-annual print guide to help consumers act and buy locally more often than they are currently. We know sometimes people aren’t able to do so but, when they can, they should buy local.
