CSA Week 23: Covered Up

There’s been a lot happening at the farm the past two weeks, which is why the newsletter was sent so close to pick-up last time. When there are transplants to be planted and seeds to be sown, it can be difficult to make time for much else. We’ve been a little covered up, kind of like the plants right now because of the mid-20 degree temperatures for the next two nights, but we’ll do better next time. That said, here is a quick update:

We’re holding steady at 34% of our crowd-funding campaign. Currently, contributors can get a discount on a bag of our farm friend’s Sweetgrass Granola (contributors can send them an email to confirm) and, soon, we’ll be adding an additional incentive of a limited hand pressing of Rough Draft Farmstead’s “Get to Know Your Farmacist” print. Given the ‘word-of-mouth’ nature of our campaign, we would really appreciate it if you helped us spread the word in whatever way you feel appropriate.

One of you had the brilliant idea of being able to pay for the CSA through the website. So, we added a button under the ‘your commitment’ section of the CSA page. All you have to do is enter the amount you’d like to pay, your info (so we know who to attribute it to), and your method of payment. It will give us a record and send you an email receipt. Feel free to try it out before the start of the next quarter, which is a week from this upcoming Tuesday, and let us know what you think.

Lastly, here is some of what you’ll be getting next Tuesday: Swiss chard, kale, small salad mix, dried heirloom tomatoes, onion, garlic, & a choice between sweet potatoes or dried squash. Remember, there is also beef available for purchase to our CSA customers from Dolan Farms. We’ll also be seeing some new fresh vegetables within the next few weeks!

Take care,
Jackson, Jordan, & Avery
