Though the cold weather has been devastating for some, but it has also brought many of us closer together. An Important Message from Community Farmers Market Bowling Green!

Wonderful news from Top Crops: the vegetables in their high-tunnels are alive and well and they’ll be at CFM tomorrow with plenty of greens!

Though the cold weather has been devastating for some, but it has also brought many of us closer together. Home Cafe delivered meals to those in need, HOTEL INC worked tirelessly to make sure those without homes were safe from the cold, and thousands of other small acts of kindness were demonstrated throughout our community (our social media feeds have been overflowing with it). It has also tested the resolve of our year-round farmers and makers who work extra hard during times like these, gladly, to be able to provide fresh local food for everyone.

For those of you who are able to get out and about on Saturday morning, the market will be open, but only because of the dedication of its awesome members and the support of its greater community. For the past few days, those who have been able to get to the market have been working to clear a path for everyone else. A special thank you goes out to Zest, the Coleman Brothers, and others who are making local food possible this weekend. Understandably, some farmers and maker will not be able to get to the market tomorrow. However, If you are able to–SAFELY–consider stopping by a farmers market tomorrow to show your support and thank a local farmer or maker. If you’re not able to make it, we thank you all the same for your continued support.

Locally Yours,
CFM
