So many artists are coming to SoKomics Expo 2014, it’s nice to have Author Terry Maggert coming up from Portland for the event:
Born in 1968, I discovered fishing shortly after walking, which was handy considering I lived near the ocean and waters of South Florida. After a brief move to Kentucky, my family trekked back to the Sunshine State, but I later had the good fortune to attend high school in idyllic Upstate New York, where I got comfortable with the concept of something called “Winter”.After two or three attempts at college, I bought a bar (fun, lots of beer, a bit of profit), and then met someone smarter than me, which was fairly common, although in this case she married me. At her urging, I returned to school, earned a Master’s Degree in History, rediscovered my love of writing, and began a family composed of a herd of critters and one enormous son.My novels explore dark fantasy, immortality, and the nature of love as we know it.I live near Nashville with the aforementioned wife, herd, and son, and when I’m not writing, I teach history, grow wildly enthusiastic tomato plants, and restore my 1967 Mustang.
