PRESS RELEASE:
With Kentucky residents digging out of this winter’s latest snow storm, the Bowling Green Hot Rods (Class-A/Tampa Bay Rays) are pleased to announce a sign of warmer weather that lies on the horizon. Beginning Friday, March 14 at 6 a.m., single-game tickets for all 70 home games will be available for purchase at the Bowling Green Ballpark box office, including Citizens First Opening Night, which is fast approaching on April 3. That will feature a double fireworks show and a t-shirt giveaway. The box office will remain open until 8 p.m.
“I think everybody is tired of this terrible winter, so what better way to get our minds off of it than to think baseball,” said Hot Rods season ticket and box office manager, Matt Ingram. “Beginning this year, we are creating a party-like atmosphere as we begin selling single-game tickets. Come have breakfast or dinner with us, and wish winter away by securing your seat to any of the exciting games this season.”
Fans are encouraged to stop-by on their way to work and get here early, because at 6 a.m. on Friday, March 14, Hot Rods front office staff will be serving donuts and coffee for those early-birds who visit the box office, while supplies last. All windows will be open, so a speedy checkout can be made if fans are in a pinch to get to work.
If you’re a bit late getting out of bed, or unable to make it out to the box office in the morning, the windows will remain open until 8 p.m. Also, pizza will be served by Hot Rods staff beginning at 5:30 p.m., so while supplies last, fans will be able to grab dinner while insuring their admission to one of the 70 great games that will be at Bowling Green Ballpark this summer. All 70 home games will be on sale, including Citizen’s First Opening Night, and July 4, which are both double-firework shows that will bring the boom to downtown Bowling Green.
While all 70 games will be available on Friday, March 14, the best way to save money, secure seats for this summer, and to get single-game tickets in advance is to own a ticket package. Packages offer savings of up to 65 percent, and can guarantee a great seat for a set amount of games, from the Junior Weekender which features 10 games, all the way up to the full-season package that covers all home games. Club members, like the Jr. Mechanics and Mug Club, are able to purchase tickets in advance too. Packages are available now, and can be obtained by calling the Hot Rods at 270-901-2121, or logging on to BGHotRods.com.
Fans can get a sneak peak of the seats that they would like by coming out to Bowling Green Ballpark for the Spring Rev-Up on Saturday, March 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Citizens First Opening Night continues to loom larger on the horizon, and it’s set for Thursday, April 3 at 7:05 p.m.
