It’s our last Projekt Beergärten for 2013, and it’s a beer lover’s dream: Three fine craft brews from California’s acclaimed Anderson Valley Brewing, along with classic comfort food from BG’s own Rapid Rick.
Winter Solstice is a seasonal “winter warmer” with a deep amber hue; a rich, malty mouthfeel; and hints of toffee, spice and caramel. Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout boasts a deep ebony color; bold, roasty flavors; and aromas of freshly baked bread, espresso and dried cherries. And Heelch O’Hops Double IPA offers a palate-pleasing bitterness with aromas of pink grapefruit and redwood needles; and rich malt flavors with hints of vanilla, mangos and peppercorns. All three will be on draft in our courtyard on a comfortably cool fall evening.
