The third time is definitely a charm when it comes to Projekt Beergärten — returning Thursday, Sept. 19, featuring two stellar brews from St. Louis’ Schlafly Brewing! If you haven’t made it to the previous installments, this week’s is one you won’t want to miss.Schlafly’s renowned Dry Hopped APA is an unfiltered American Pale Ale w/ a slightly hazy golden amber color, aromas of pine and citrus and a surprisingly full body; their Oktoberfest is smooth and crisp w/ a dark amber appearance and notes of malt and caramel.
It’s a simple concept — great beer in a relaxing environment, away from the noise and bustle of a typical bar or the formality of a full-service restaurant. Held in the outdoor courtyard behind Spencer’s, there’s plenty of seating, a good bit of shade, and the perfect amount of lighting once the sun goes down.
We’ll be featuring different beers throughout the season, and we’ll switch up the days and times. We’ll keep you informed (via Facebook and Twitter) on upcoming Projekts, and we’ll remain open as usual inside Spencer’s for your nourishment and caffeination needs.
