This weekend will be stacked with Music for all. First it starts with Glenn Mitchell of Nashville, Tennessee tonight at 9pm:
GLEN MITCHELL moved to Nashville in 2001. Since then, he has had a very successful career as a songwriter, bandleader and artist. Glen has toured with the following artists, playing lead guitar and on many occasions taking the role of band leader: DARIUS RUCKER, BILLY CURRINGTON, LONESTAR, JOE NICHOLS, JASON MICHAEL CARROLL, CHELY WRIGHT and many others.
As a songwriter, Glen has had several cuts, most notably “Livin’ Our Love Song” for Jason Michael Carroll. As a session player, Glen has played countless sessions, most notably lead guitar on Billy Currington’s platinum selling album “Doin’ Something Right”.
He has made several TV appearance with the above artists, including Good Morning America, Jay Leno, Conan O’Brien, David Letterman, Bonnie Hunt, Emeril and Grand Ol’ Opry Live.
Then on Saturday at 9pm the Mudd River Union:
Mudd River Union is a band made up of six members with big country hearts and musical souls. Their name illustrates the blending of several musical styles; each genre giving distinct character to their original music. Drawn together by one common bond, the love of music, each will tell you that destiny has drawn the band together. Their energy on stage and connection with one another attracts audiences of all ages and musical interests. The lead vocalists offer three very unique vocal tones that blend in beautiful harmony. Mudd River Union has performed with such acts as Diamond Rio, Ronnie McDowell, and T. Graham Brown. They’re a bluegrass picking, country loving, rock star drumming, blues bending, funky bass playing, music loving band.
Lost River wraps up the weekend with Get Up & Play. Come in Sunday and join Lost River Pizza Co. and Host Andrew Causey for “Get Up & Play” at 7 pm.
