We Were Able to Get A Look At Some Of The Record Store Day Releases Already In Store At Great Escape Records and Comics. 100’s We’ll List But There Are Much Much More!

So many to choose from in the 120+ albums we looked at Yesterday. We did not photograph all of them. Starting left to right in description:

  • Rockabye Baby! Lullaby Renditions of The White Stripes
  • “Carry on,” Avenged Sevenfold’s song which features in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
  • Built To Spill is reissuing their album, ‘Live’ as 2LPs
  • Reissue of Clumsy the major label debut album from the American band, Samiam. Released in 1994
  • Calexico Spiritoso-The album includes songs from ALGIERS as well as the Calexico catalog recorded live in Germany in June 2012 with the Radio Symphonic Orchestra Vienna and the Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg.
  • Avenge Sevenfold Live In the LBC. Never Before Released on Vinyl B-Side, Covers and More.
  • Reissue of Country Joe and the Fish. I Feel Like I’m Fixin To Die.
  • Miles Davis Round About Midnight
  • 20th anniversary release of Blind Melon.
  • Ben Harper is taking a look at his career to date, and he’s pulled out all his favorite Ben ballads and put them on one unique CD. Not quite a Greatest Hits, not really a Best Of.
  • Various Artists Blues at Newport 1963
  • Mercury RevDeserted Songs (180 gram white & clear colored vinyl)
  • When Willie first got to Nashville he cut some demos for Ray Price and Hal Smith’s publishing company, Pamper Music. Though these cuts were used to pitch songs to artists (including ‘Crazy’ for Patsy Cline) and producers, many weren’t released. These 1960-1966 tracks are raw, real and really good, clearly the work of an artist/songwriter headed for stardom.

  • Phish will release Lawn Boy, the band’s second full-length studio album, as a Limited Edition Deluxe 2-LP vinyl set.

  • The Grateful Dead’s Rare Cuts & Oddities 1966 will be released as two 180 gram LPs for Record Store Day 2013.
  • Aerosmith,’ ‘Get Your Wings‘ re-release.
  • To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Cypress Hill’s Black Sunday will be released on two, 12″ 180-gram high-quality heavyweight vinyl LPs in an individually-numbered gatefold jacket.

  • Cream at Royal Albert Hall 2-3-5-6 2005.

  • Dave Matthews Band’s Live Trax Vol. 1 will be available as a four-LP vinyl box set.

  • This live version of “Maybe I’m Amazed” was originally serviced as a radio-only promotional 12” vinyl single back in 1976 to herald the release of “Wings Over America.”
  • Celebrating the 10th anniversary of this Grammy Award winning album, Third Man Records releases a special Limited Edition vinyl pressing of their acclaimed hit album, ”Elephant,” exclusively for Record Store Day. Includes their classic, ”Seven Nation Army.”
  • Specially colored vinyl is an awesome thing on Record Store Day, and Eric Church was not content to have just a pretty color. He took a special approach to making it that way.  They Poured in Whiskey for the vinyl!

  • On February 5th, 2013, Willy Mason and Brendan Benson put to tape Upstairs at United vol. 7. Brendan Benson expertly produced, assembled, and conducted an arsenal of stellar musicians who graced the sacred space upstairs at United Record Pressing with seven songs all written by Willy Mason’s folk artist parents Jemima James and Michael Mason. Upstairs At United Vol. 7. is a lush vibrant recording featuring everything from upright bass, mandolin, pump organ, viola, fiddle, cocktail table percussion, and more. Upstairs At United is a series of all analog, direct to tape, live studio recordings, taped above the pressing plant in tribute to the rich historical significance of that space.
