In addition to the charity auction held at the Corvette Museum November 30th, this event benefits 17 charities in Southern Kentucky and is designed to generate much needed revenue for charities focusing on children’s safety, education and care. Among the charities benefitting from the Holiday Bash are Boys and Girls Clubs, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, United Way, Junior Achievement and the Center for Courageous Kids. The Holiday Bash charity began in 2010 as a joint venture of Commonwealth Broadcasting, WBKO-TV and United Country Auctions to raise much needed money for charities serving children in the weeks immediately before Christmas. The funds are distributed based on a four-tier rewards program. The more involved in the organization and the execution of the event (including volunteer hours involved), the higher the level of reward the charity receives.
