US Bank Balloons, Tunes and BBQ is back again September 6-8, 2012 at the BG-WC Regional Airport benefiting United Way of Southern Kentucky!
The Tunes this year feature Friday Night show with Kenton Bryant and a Saturday Night show with Country music sensation Chuck Wicks and a hot new group taking country music by storm, The Farm:
Chuck Wicks has come a long way from working on a potato farm in the tiny town of Smyrna, Delaware to becoming a nationally recognized country music star. After paying his dues working odd jobs and honing his songwriter and performance chops, in late 2007 he won the hearts of his audiences when his debut single, “Stealing Cinderella,” became a Top 5 hit. That paved the way for his successful follow-up singles, “All I Ever Wanted,” “Man of the House,” “Hold that Thought” and “Old School” which spent 15 consecutive weeks in the GAC Top 20 Countdown! Being a huge outdoorsman, you can constantly find Chuck on the “Outdoor Channel” hunting down big game on shows like “Addicted to the Outdoors” and the Pursuit Channel’s “Huntin’ on Empty” where Chuck is not only on the Pro Hunting Staff but also wrote and sang the theme song to the show! He is currently in the studio working on his sophomore album due for release later this year!
The weekend will be filled with all kinds of attractions from the concerts to a carnival to food vendors and children’s activities, and of course, the Hot Air Balloons. Competitive races will be held all weekend with the Hare and Hound lift off happening Saturday afternoon and the final fly in Sunday morning.
