Bowling Green Gives Back: Olde Stone Run for PRIDE Saturday.

This 5K Run/Walk will take you through the beautiful neighborhoods of The Club at Olde Stone. You will experience the sight of the pristine championship golf course as you run up and down the rolling hills of the neighborhood.

At 9 am, the 1 mile Kid’s Fun Run, a 1 mile loop, begins. Participating children must be 12 years of age or younger, and will have fun running at their own speed, as this event is not timed.

The pump and run is a unique fitness competition, in which participants can show off their muscular endurance, as well as, their cardiovascular endurance. Male Participants will bench press their bodyweight as many times as they can; while female participants will bench press half of their body weight. All participants will deduct a minute from their 5K run the next day.

At 6:00 PM on Friday night, The Pasta Party will feature pasta, bread and salad prepared by the excellent cooking staff at The Club at Olde Stone. This pump portion of the event will take place at this time. Participants will enjoy their meal while having the opportunity to mingle in the pool area at Olde Stone.

This event benefits Operation PRIDE and its efforts to beautify the community. Individual Entry 5K $25 Fee includes pasta party ticket ($30 day of race). Early Bird deadline is May 11, 2012.

Three $100.00 cash prizes, 3 $50.00 cash prizes and 1 early bird $50.00 cash prize (early bird is any time prior to the day of the race) for a total of $500.00 in cash prizes.
