Rev-up Riders! The 13th Annual Great Teddy Bear Run for the Barren River Area Child Advocacy Center will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2012!
The Great Teddy Bear Run for the CAC is a fun motorcycle event that takes place on the first Saturday of April every year. The event promotes April’s Child Abuse Awareness & Prevention Month and raises community awareness and funds to benefit the Barren River Area Child Advocacy Center. Year after year, riders from across the Commonwealth of Kentucky and our neighboring states have joined together to ride in this exciting event. It’s quite a sight to see hundreds (some years more than a thousand!) shiny motorcycles, decked out with lots of blue ribbons and blue balloons. Bowling Green Police Department’s finest lead the parade through the busiest streets of Bowling Green. The parade stops traffic and reminds the community of the Center’s mission and services to victims of child sexual abuse, as well as collects teddy bears and contributions to support vital services to kids in our regional community.
Rally point is The Warren County Justice Center at 1001 Center Street. On—site registration begins at 9:30 am. Parade leaves at 11:15 am through the community to the Harley Davidson Bowling Green store around 12:15 pm. Lunch provided and music from the Beaver for just $5 per peson. New this year! Silent and live auctions at the Harley store… bidding begins upon parade’s arrival and ends at 1:30 pm sharp!
