The Beer and Wine will flow this weekend at Greenwood Spirits Shoppe on Scottsville Road. With great wine tastings on Friday and Saturday and beer tasting tonight.

Here are the beers on tap:

Double Trouble- Founders Brewing Company: An imperial IPA that was brewed to turn your world upside down. Hops will get you coming and going. Pungent aromatics up front pair with a malt-balanced backbone and a smooth, bitter finish.

Aprihop- Dogfish Head Brewing Company: Aprihop is an American IPA brewed with Pilsner and Crystal malts. It’s massively hopped — in the continuous fashion, of course! — and the flavor is complemented by the addition of apricots.

Acme IPA- North Coast Brewing Company: Acme IPA is profoundly hoppy, finished with over a pound of fresh whole hops per barrel. The result of this generous hopping is a beer that is deliciously dry, and eminently drinkable in spite of its apparent strength.

Two Hearted Ale- Bells Brewing Company: Two Hearted Ale is defined by its intense hop aroma and malt balance. Hopped exclusively with the Centennial hop varietal from the Pacific Northwest, massive additions in the kettle and again in the fermenter lend their characteristic grapefruit and pine resin aromas. A significant malt body balances this hop presence; together with the signature fruity aromas of Bell’s house yeast, this leads to a remarkably drinkable American-style India Pale Ale.

Wine tasting on Friday will be Project Paso wines again.  The varietals are Old Vine Zinfandel, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet and Red Blend.  Saturday will be Oyster bay Sauvignon Blanc, Twisted River Gewurztraminer Coppola Rosso and Cline Zinfandel.

Check out their facebook page. We look forward to working with ‘Greenwood Spirits Shoppe,’ a locally owned businesses, and hope you will consider them instead of going to those stores owned by out of town retailers.
