It’s Amore’, it’s Valentine’s Day and we all need our favorite drinks to ring in the special occasion. Greenwood Spirits Shoppe has been a staple of Bowling Green for decades when it comes to Wine, Beer, Liquor and cheeses on those special occasions. Boasting the largest wine selection in Bowling Green we look at 6 (these are our choices) great selections to celebrate with.
#1. Project Paso Wines. Project Paso is the newest wine brand from one of the oldest winemaking families in California, Don Sabastiani and Sons. Don Sabastiani is a fourth generation California vintner with history back to 1895 when Samuele Sabastiani immigrated to Sonoma from Italy, opening his first winery in 1904. Their new wine is an 87 with a great value of just $12.99 a bottle.
#2. Skinny Girl Cosmo and Margarita. Many of you already know about Skinny Girl. For those who don’t Skinnygirl Cocktails was created by Bethenny Frankel, a renowned natural foods chef, mixologist, New York Times Bestselling Author, and star of Bethenny Ever After. When she found out just how high in calories restaurant margaritas were, she saw an incredible opportunity: give women a low-calorie version of the cocktail that didn’t sacrifice fresh, delicious taste. Skinny Girl is the result!
#3. Cupcake Vineyards Piemonte Moscato. One of the Top Sellers at Greenwood Spirits Shoppe. Here is how the producer of this fine Moscato describes it: “Our Moscato is vibrant and expressive with floral notes that dominate with hints of peach and flavors of tropical fruits and lychee. It is a soft and luscious wine with just a hint of effervescence to tickle the palate and balance the sweetness. With bright fruit flavors and finesse, it’s reminiscent of a pineapple right-side up cupcake.”
#4. Faithfull Ale from Dogfish Head Craft Brewed Ales. Faithfull Ale is a celebration of Pearl Jam’s 20th anniversary as a band and its extraordinary debut album, “Ten.” In recognition of these milestones, this Belgian-style golden ale is delicately hopped to 20 IBUs and fruit-forward from 10 incremental additions of black currants over a one-hour boil. Faithfull clocks in at 7% ABV.
#5. San Diego’s own Green Flash West Coast IPA. A menagerie of hops is layered throughout the brewing process: Simcoe for unique fruitiness and grapefruit zest, Columbus for strong hop pungency, Centennial for pine and citrus notes and Cascade for floral aroma. A multi-dimensional hop experience. ALC. BY VOL. 7.3% | IBUS: 95
Enjoy Valentine’s Day in style and enjoy it responsibly! Check out their facebook page. We look forward to working with ‘Greenwood Spirits Shoppe,’ a locally owned businesses, and hope you will consider them instead of going to those stores owned by out of town retailers.
