The final Second Saturday of the 2012 season is upon us and this one is the one not to miss as their are some great events happening around Fountain Square. Of course we told you about the Grand Opening of Tea Squares but there will also be music from local acts Fender Benders:

Join Buy Local Bowling Green for the final Second Saturdays on October 8th for food fun and frolicking! They will also have an Award Winning BBQ vendor who deep fries anything and everything you can imagine. In fact, there will be a deep fry challenge! Bring anything you want deep fried and he will give it a dip.
The event is now completing its second year and grows with each month that passes. The thing we like about Second Saturday is it brings some people who don’t get downtown very often and they are exposed to the quiet but strong resurgence our downtown has made over the past 5 years. Artisans and entrepreneurs display their handicrafts and products in a comfortable shopping atmosphere that shows the fun of shopping in Downtown Bowling Green. If you haven’t been Downtown lately, come and enjoy Second Saturdays before it ends this month.
Some vendors bring beautiful handmade jewelry at very reasonable
prices. Sno Cones and Hawaiian Shaved Ice really hit the spot on hot
Summer days. And just add soda water, or and carbonated beverage to one
of our vendor’s products, and enjoy wonderful (and easy to make) home-
baked bread.
