‘Every Kumari Rug Has a Story and Ships Direct to You’ is a great slogan. The Great thing about living in Bowling Green, they are right here in town so you can go right to them! The parent company of Kumari Rugs, Himalayan Handcrafted Rugs was established in 2004. Kumari Rugs are manufactured by Tibetan and Nepalese artisans in Nepal and designed by innovative American designers. They have a combined 70 years of experience in the Tibetan rug industry. One of their manufactures is a female coming from a Sherpa community. The rugs are meticulously handcrafted using Himalayan virgin wool and other natural yarns such as silk, hemp, aloe, and bamboo. The yarns are also hand carded and hand spun.
Some very unique pieces and some are on sale though Wednesday! “Our SALE until March 30th will be 40% off all Rugs. We also have Pillows and Accessories along with Hemp Clothing and Hemp Bags all $30 and under” says Cassie Wilson of Kumari Rugs. Gotta admit, it’s worth it to go check it out and the great thing is Kumari Rugs does not use Child Labor and they pay a fair wage to the employees, so shop knowing that you are with a socially conscience company.
