Pioneer Cemetery Lantern Tour at Pioneer Cemetery Tomorrow!

Enjoy a night of history with a lantern tour through the downtown Bowling Green cemetery! This is a living history event commemorating Bowling Green’s Bicentennial.

Visit with 10 former residents that lived in Bowling Green between 1796-1866.
 Listen to their stories of the settling of Bowling Green, the impact of the railroad on Bowling Green’s economic and cultural diversity, and of the Civil War on their lives.

Three 45-minute walking tours will be offered beginning at 7, 8 and 9 pm. Rain date is set for Friday September 21st, 2012. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors/students and 12 & under are free. Street parking is available as well as the NAPA Auto Parts and BG Parks & Recreation parking lots. Purchase tickets in the NAPA lot.

The Cemetery tour is Thursday night, with the rain date on Friday.  People need to be there about 15 minutes early to buy tickets and line up so that the tours will start on the hour.
