We went and tried Mary Jane’s Chocolate in their new location on College Street. Check out what we purchased:
So, we got their pretty late because we had eaten at Steamer’s (More on that tomorrow). We rushed in since they close at 6pm on Friday Night. The thing is we were most excited for the Chocolate Covered Bacon and the Belgian Dark Chocolate. The Belgian Dark Chocolate was fine but not the favorite. In fact we hoped it would be the favorite and it was probably the least favorite of the three.
The Chocolate Bacon was good. It left the typical after taste of bacon but again, not the show stopper. What really shocked us was the 7 year old’s choice of Milk Chocolate Breakaway Bark. Oh man, this is a must get if you visit. Don’t get fancy with Bacon and Belgian Chocolate. Go for the tried and true Milk Chocolate. We’re happy to see another Chocolate shop (Cocomo Confections & Deli on Nashville Road also has fantastic chocolate and Amazing deals on great Ice Cream Sundaes and is open till 9pm Monday-Saturday and Closed Sunday) reopen and this one servicing downtown. Instead of buying box store you need to try both of these locally owned businesses out.
