Something great about our local farm community is what they are doing to reach out to low income homes desperately looking for a better way to feed their families. Not only that it keeps those funds in our local community.
WIC Vouchers Accepted at CFM
At Community Farmers Market, we seek to make local food available to everyone. As part of this mission, many of our vendors accept WIC and Senior Farmers Market vouchers. In fact, participants in these programs can redeem their vouchers for double their value with participating vendors.
These outreach efforts would not be possible without our loyal customers and community partners (including Barren River District Health Department and WellCare Health Plans)! Thanks to your support, we are able to increase local food availability through our Mobile Markets and the Double Dollars Program, and we are so grateful to see the positive results of these programs. In 2014 these collaborations helped to put the Warren County WIC redemption rate ahead of the state average of 70%!

Community Farmers Market is a year-round market featuring over 50 vendors with a variety of local foods and handcrafted items. The Market also regularly offers cooking demonstrations, folk school classes and live music. Hours are Saturdays from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. and Tuesdays from 2-6 p.m. It is located at 2319 Nashville Road next to the WKU Store.
