Chris and I met in the Marine Corps in 2007. I had just graduated boot camp and was on my way for more training. I had decided to get fake nails, since I had missed being a girl for the past 3 months. So, on my way I went to North Carolina, fake nails and all! On a chilly day in March 2007, I spotted Chris. He was tall, handsome and well put together yet rough around the edges. As soon as he spotted my well manicured, and might I add not in regulation nails, he jumped all over it. The first memory of Chris was a big “butt” chewing!
After leaving North Carolina, heading south for again more training, I had managed to somehow get Chris’ number from one of his friends. Texting and occasional phone calls occupied my time traveling to Florida. Time eventually slipped between us, but yet we still managed to keep in touch. Fast forward a few years and here we are married with two wonderful, always smiling, rotten kids! Our wedding was simple, rustic, and on July 4th. We thought the date was quite fitting for both of us since we met in the Marine Corps.
