Projekt Beergärten, Installment 2 at Spencer’s Coffee Set For Tomorrow!

After a successful first outing, Projekt Beergärten is back — great beers in a great outdoor space for an evening of no-accompaniment-necessary entertainment.

Great Lakes Brewing Company out of Cleveland, Ohio, will be the featured brewer on draft, and there’s something for everyone here: Commodore Perry IPA — a medium-bodied, well-hopped IPA with a dry, fruity finish — has earned three gold medals in the World Beer Championships; Eliot Ness Amber Ale — an amber lager with rich, fragrant malt flavors balanced by crisp noble hops — has taken home the gold in 7 of the last 10 years. And if that weren’t enough, bottles of Bell’s Oberon, Dogfish Head 60-Minute IPA and Avalance Amber will be available as well.

This time around, we’re extending the hours a bit 4:00pm until 9:00pm (don’t worry, there’s appropriate lighting once the sun goes down) and bringing in 33% more beer — so grab some friends and make a night of it!

It’s a simple concept — great beer in a relaxing environment, away from the noise and bustle of a typical bar or the formality of a full-service restaurant. And it’s something we’ve longed for in downtown Bowling Green, so we decided to take it upon ourselves to create it.

We’ll be featuring different beers throughout the season, and we’ll switch up the days and times. We’ll keep you informed (via Facebook and Twitter) on upcoming Projekts, and we’ll remain open as usual inside Spencer’s for your nourishment and caffeination needs.

Event support provided by Beer House Distributors and Bowling Green Pipe & Cigar.
