The American Independent Business Alliance (AMIBA) has declared the week of July 1-7 Independents Week. “It’s a time to reflect on the importance of economic democracy and community self-determination by celebrating the nation’s locally owned independent businesses and the stake each citizen has in shaping their home town’s future,” stated AMIBA director Jennifer Rockne. Obviously, we believe every week is Independent Business and Buy Local week but with a holiday week people tend to be out shopping more.
That’s why we hope you will consider one of our partners or a locally created business first this weekend. With tomorrow night’s fireworks at the uniquely Bowling Green National Corvette Museum, you may want to go out to eat before hand. Choose local. Need some adult beverages, try Greenwood Spirits.
