MARDI GRAS is full swing…beads, Hurricanes, N’Awlins dinner menu and more. Tomorrow night is Fat Tuesday and there is only one place to be in Bowling Green. 440 Main and Micki’s On Main will have dancing as Jon Crosby provides the music to close out Carnival. The menu is going to transport you right down to the Bayou! You know it’s going to be Bowling Green’s spot for Carnival!
Some of the great menu items for Mardi Gras are Fresh Alligator bites, Turtle Soup and Veal Prudhomme. If you haven’t had Veal Prudhomme it is a returning favorite to 440 Main. It’s two pan fried veal cutlets with pan seared scallops. Atop a bed of luguini noodles finished with a creole cream sauce.
Also, on the menu they will serve Blackened Red Snapper with crawfish Butter, Crab meat dressed flounder. For the filet lovers on Carnival, the feature filet ‘Bayou Filet.’ An 8 ounces filet with cream spinach and fried oysters.
Also a taste of Po’ Boy can be had in each serving of fried oyster loaf and shrimp loaf. For those who are bound to get thirsty Hurricanes, King Cake Martini are both back and on tap they will have New Orleans’ own Abita Amber and Turbo Dog.
