The great thing about our job is talking to business owners and seeing their passion for what they do. No matter what you do, you have to have that passion to do well. Talking with the owners of ‘Chickadee’s Comfort Food To Go,’ they exude that passion for their restaurant’s mission.
Chickadee’s Comfort Food To Go will have dining room seating but, it really is for those of us on the go. Their motto is ‘Let us be your kitchen!’ The owner Debbie Thomas summed up what her new restaurant was by saying, “Who needs a kitchen when you have Chickadee’s Comfort Food To Go. Whether you’re a mom bouncing between three different sports or an empty nester, Chickadee’s is your answer. With our fresh, never frozen, entrees, desserts, and salads, you can have a healthy, delicious meal on the table in no time. Simply stop by and see us for the freshest food or better yet, call ahead to find out what’s available for dinner.” They will get produce and other ingredients from local farms and vendors when they can and are strong advocates for the food we find comfort in.
Their Menu is extensive and very appealing for the family looking for more Family meal time together and less working on the meal. Also, don’t forget to ask about their desserts. Selections will change daily. They are also here for your lunch outings. Homemade soups, crisp salads, a variety of sandwiches and sweets are made fresh daily. They are aiming to be open in the next couple of weeks. They are easy to get in and out of at the shopping center at 1200 Smallhouse right across Scottsville Road from American Bank and Trust.
